The Payments page serves as a central hub for managing payments, offering a comprehensive interface for users to view detailed transaction information, and process refunds.
Important Notes
- All payments processed for the Main Account holder will appear on this page, including those made using the Split Payments model.
- Payments processed on behalf of Sub-Accounts (i.e.: using the Platform Fee model) are not shown by default. To view them, users can either check the Platform Fees page or select Account type: Sub-Account in the filter section on the left and enter the specific Sub-Account ID and/or Payment Session ID.
At the top of the page, the Overview panel provides a summary of payment activity:
- Total Revenue Captured: The overall amount of money collected from payments.
- Refunds Value: The total amount reimbursed to customers.
- Net Sub-Account Fees: The overall amount of platform fees collected from payments using the Platform Fee or Split Payment models.
Please note that the figures displayed on this section refer to the current day. You can, however, change the date using the button on the top-right side of the panel and selecting a different date.
The main section of the page displays a list of all payments in a table format, showing key details such as:
- Status: The current state of the payment (e.g., Pending Payment, Authorized, Captured, Refunded).
- Amount: The total monetary value of the payment.
- Email: The email address of the customer associated with the payment.
- Payment Method: The method used for the payment, including the card scheme, the last four digits of the card number, and an icon representing whether the payment was made using an In-Person or Online method.
- When: The date and time when the payment was updated.
Clicking on any payment in the list will open a detailed view, revealing the full funds flow, customer and payment method details, 3D Secure information, and specific transaction details.
Payments can have various statuses, each indicating their current state:
- Pending Payment: A payment session has been created and the payment is awaiting completion (i.e.: awaiting customer entering their card details).
- Authorized: The payment has been authorised but not yet captured.
- Captured: The payment has been successfully captured and funds have been transferred.
- Partial Capture: A portion of the payment has been captured, but not the full amount.
- Failed: The payment attempt was unsuccessful. The failed reason will be displayed in the payment details.
- Voided: The payment has been voided and no funds have been captured.
- Refunded: The payment has been refunded to the customer.
- Partial Refund: A portion of the payment has been refunded to the customer.
- Card Verified: The card has been verified (e.g., during a Zero-Value Authentication), but no funds have been captured.
Payments with a status of Pending Payment reflect Payment Sessions that have been created but not yet completed (the customer has not yet entered their payment details). When multiple consecutive payments of this type are seen on this page, it may indicate that customers are abandoning the payment process before completion or encountering issues while attempting to complete their payment.
For this reason, we highly recommend monitoring the user journey on your platform to identify and address any potential issues that may be causing this drop-off.
When a payment is pending, Ryft has not yet received any payment details, and therefore we cannot provide insights into the reasons behind it.
The Payments page includes a filter section on the left-hand side, allowing users to filter payments by:
- Start and End Date: Select a date range to view payments within that period (up to 60 days).
- Account Type: Choose between payments made towards the Main Account or a specific Sub-Account.
- Customer ID: Enter a specific customer ID to filter payments related to that customer.
- Payment Session ID: Enter a specific payment session ID to filter payments related to that session.
